retirement plan in place

Planning ahead with confidence

For some it’s an early-morning Eureka moment. For others it’s a cold-sweat wake-up call in the middle of the night. Whatever form it takes, the midlife shift in focus is a big deal.

30 years or more of working life are suddenly in the rear-view mirror. Now, it’s time to work out what comes next, and that can feel scary. It doesn’t need to be, though. In fact, with a sound retirement plan in place, you could generate the sparks that will fire your future adventures.

How we can help you

As an established financial advice firm specialising in pensions, we will work with you to create a better retirement plan. Our service is by phone, video calls, email and post, so you can access it from anywhere in the UK.

The bigger picture

We will consider your current circumstances, your future plans and your finances, including pension provision. We can then see if you are on track to achieving the retirement goals you have in mind. If you are not, we will put a strategy in place to help you get there.

If your plans for retirement are a little fuzzy at the moment, understanding the kind of income you could receive over the coming years can help to bring into focus the choices you have. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Your pensions

We will review all aspects of your defined contribution pensions, including areas such as cost and performance, to see they are suitable for you. If we think they can be improved, we will explain why and make a recommendation.

We will also look at the balance of your pension investments to make sure they are suited to the risk you are willing and able to take, and the years left until you plan to retire.

Your contributions

You might be contributing to several different financial products, from ISAs and general savings accounts to workplace and private pensions. Tax relief, personal allowances and charges are just some of the factors to consider.

For example, if your employer will match contributions, your workplace scheme should probably be your main focus. Whatever you are currently doing, we will work with you to make sure your money is always working as hard as it can for you.

Clarity now, flexibility for the future

Right now, the most important thing is to be clear about the finances you have, if and how they could be improved, and what all this means for the plans you want to make. This will be the foundation of the long-term strategy we recommend for you.

Things change, though. That’s why we offer our clients an ongoing management service. We will regularly review your finances, your circumstances and your plans to ensure you get the most out of retirement, whatever curveballs or opportunities come your way.

Why financial advice matters

While online tools and general guidance can be useful, retirement income planning is complex. Good old-fashioned human interaction is usually the best way to find the right solution. Our financial advice team will help you:

  • Make informed decisions based on your specific circumstances and finances
  • Avoid common tax traps or withdrawal mistakes
  • Manage all your assets with a cohesive and flexible retirement strategy
  • Plan your income so that future withdrawals are sustainable

At Pension Sense, we believe financial advice should be clear, tailored and accessible. We aim to help you retire with confidence, knowing your decisions are grounded in a strategy designed for you.

It could be the start of your journey towards a more secure retirement
